“CYREX” Immunology Test Preparation Guide
The CYREX Immunology Test can be performed at the Any Lab Test Now location of your choice or at home via mobile phlebotomy service for an additional fee. For a simple and effective experience, follow the instructions below.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
- Collection Kit. Mailed to your home by Cyrex Labs.
- Lab Requisition Form. Included in the test kit mailed to your home. This must be brough to the lab with the collection kit.
- Photo ID.
- Lab Appointment. You have the option of presenting to the Any Lab Test Now location of your choice -OR- scheduling an at home visit through ExamOne (recommended). Appointments required.
INFORM DR. ZITT IF:
- You have been avoiding certain foods or food groups. Recent exposure to suspected allergens is needed for an accurate test result to that food.
- You have used the following medications in the last 60 days: corticosteroids, immunosuppressants, or inhalers.
HAVE YOUR LABS TAKEN
- Receive your kit in the mail. You must have this before proceeding.
- Make your blood draw appointment. You have two options to choose from.
- Option 1: Any Lab Test Now. Call the Any Lab Test Now location of your choice to schedule your appointment (their online appointment system is faulty). Due to COVID 19 procedures, you MUST have an appointment. There is no additional lab fee (if you are asked to pay one, call our patient concierge at (865) 383-0743 immediately).
- Option 2: At home or work. Go to www.cyrexlabs.com to schedule an in-home blood draw performed by ExamOne. There is an additional fee of $44.50 for this service paid directly to Cyrex.
- Avoid a high fat meal. There are no fasting requirements for this test however a high fat meal prior to blood collection may cause the lab to reject your sample.
- Present to the lab. Take your serum collection kit (with attached mailing bag and label) and requisition form to your chosen Any Lab Test Now location at your scheduled appointment time. If you are having an in-home draw, make sure to have the kit available.
